Accessibility at Clean That Sheet

Our accessibility target

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our accessibility target. That is the standard we design and build toward. It is a target, not a certification, and we do not claim that every page and feature meets every success criterion today. We continually review and improve the accessibility of Clean That Sheet as the product evolves.

What we have reviewed

Our most recent review covered the public website and the core spreadsheet workflow, including the home page, the cleanup landing pages, pricing, trust and file handling, integrations, the public sponsor and member resource pages, and the upload, preview, and results steps. The review combined automated testing with manual checks of keyboard navigation, focus visibility, form labeling, page structure, heading order, alternative text, color contrast, and layout at increased browser zoom.

Improvements made as a result of that review include stronger text and control contrast, a visible keyboard focus indicator across interactive controls, a skip link to page content, accessible names for the file upload controls, corrected page landmark and heading structure, and support for the reduced motion setting in your operating system or browser.

Known limitations

Some parts of the experience are still being improved, and some are outside our direct control:

• Spreadsheet previews and change reports present dense tabular data. They are readable and keyboard operable, but they remain an area of ongoing improvement for screen reader users.
• Clean That Sheet Guard runs inside Google Sheets. The accessibility of the surrounding Google Sheets and Google Workspace Marketplace interfaces is determined by Google.
• Checkout is handled by our payment provider, and some third party badges and embedded content are served by their own providers.
• We have not completed a formal third party accessibility audit or conformance evaluation.

We review accessibility feedback and work to provide assistance or improve the experience where reasonably possible. If you need help completing a spreadsheet cleanup, we can also assist you directly by email.

Technical approach

Accessibility on Clean That Sheet comes from the underlying HTML, CSS, and component behavior: semantic landmarks and headings, real buttons and links, labeled form controls, visible focus indicators, status messages that assistive technology can read, and layouts that reflow at increased zoom. We do not use an accessibility overlay, floating accessibility widget, or automated remediation script, because those tools do not reliably fix the underlying experience.
