Extra spaces are the most common thing wrong with a spreadsheet and the easiest to miss. A trailing space on an email address makes it look identical to the same email without one, but Excel treats them as different values. A leading space on a customer name pushes it to a different sort position. A double space inside a city name breaks every dedupe and group-by you try to run on the column. Clean That Sheet trims all of it in one pass.
We strip leading and trailing whitespace from every cell, collapse internal double spaces to single ones, and normalize non-breaking spaces and other invisible characters that get pasted in from web pages, PDFs, and Word documents. The kind of cleanup that's tedious with the TRIM and SUBSTITUTE formulas and even more tedious if you try to do it by hand.
